Cartridge HHC
Scientifically called hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a molecule derived from THC, synthesized artificially through a hydrogenation process. Naturally present in the cannabis plant, THC is also found in the seeds and pollen of the flower. HHC, for its part, is produced in the laboratory after supercritical CO2 extraction of THC. This process involves breaking the carbon bonds in the THC molecule, going from 4 to 6 hydrogen atoms. HHC results from the addition of 2 hydrogen molecules to delta-8-THC.
Although the chemical structure of HHC is closely related to that of THC, its composition varies depending on the temperature during the process. There are two types of HHC, HHC-9R and HHC-9S. HHC-9R, strongly linked to the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system, plays an essential role in the regulation of major functions in the body, while HHC-9S does not affect the endocannabinoid system. This diversity allows the creation of different HHC-based products, such as flowers, resin, oil, and cartridges.
An HHC cartridge is a cylindrical glass tank filled with HHC distillate oil. It can be screwed onto a vape pen using a screw thread, thus offering the possibility of replacing the empty cartridge or simply varying the aromas and flavors. Cartridges can be flavored with natural terpenes, enhancing your vaping experience.
